Kawasaki Frontale v. Jubilo Iwata – Stalemate for Frontale and Jubilo?

Kawasaki Frontale – DF Jeci is missing for at least two more months.
Jubilo Iwata – DF Chiyotanda still expected to be missing. GK Kawaguchi out long term.

Kawasaki Frontale (P8 W3 D1 L4 GD -3) failed to win under new coach Kazama at home last time out, capitulating 4-1 to in-form Sanfrecce Hiroshima and their captain, and leading goalscorer Hisashi Sato. The new coach decided to put Inamoto at centre back for the first time but that obviously did not work, but he will still be missing DF Jeci so needs to find something to cover the back line better than last time. Kengo Nakamura will have to lead this team out of the doldrums but will he be able to do it all alone? The team that was one of my tips to struggle this season WILL continue to struggle with this set of players.

Jubilo Iwata (P8 W4 D2 L2 GD +2) were another team I did not expect to do well this season and I still feel they are in a false position and will be found out soon, but probably not against Kawasaki Frontale. Cerezo Osaka opened them up like a plastic can last time out and a decent forward line will not have a problem against this defence, especially without veteran goalkeeper Kawaguchi. Perhaps we are in for a low-scoring draw?

For Frontale the likes of Renato might have a set play in them but do not have the guile and effort to be a force in J1 all season long. Expect a DRAW!

Seven wins each, and two draws over the years, very even.

REPORT – 清水エスパルス１-０ＦＣ東京 – 4月28日

自分で自分の首を絞めるようなところがあったが、私の予想した通り、この試合はエスパルスの勝利となった。決勝点が生まれたのは、清水がフランサとアレックスの二人を退場で失い、高木と高原を交代投入してからだった。ペナルティエリア内からの高木のシュートに、キーパーは反応することもできなかった。その時点まで、主審の西村さんはルールブックに則り厳格なジャッジをしていた。プロの審判なので、ルール通りに試合を裁いて当然なのだが、臨機応変で柔軟な対応もまた同時に求められる。笛が鳴った後でボールを蹴ってしまったフランサから、ハーフウェイライン上での「チームのために身を犠牲にした」小野伸二によるシニカルなファウルまで、オレンジ色のユニホームによるありとあらゆる反則が主審の手帳に書き込まれる。アレックス・ブロスケの２枚目のイエローも、主審の目の前で、故意にフリーキックを遅らせようしたもので、自らの墓穴を掘ったことになってしまった。
フランサの２枚目のイエローには論議の余地がある。主審をはじめ、相手チームの反応、観客、審判団次第でどちらにも判定できる類いだ。浮き球をヘディングに行こうとしたフランサの腕が相手の顔面に入った場面だが、その倒れ方はいかにも大げさだった。審判団は、協議の末、カードを出した。どちらにも転びかねないこういったケースが、今日はエスパルスにとって不利に転じたわけだ。決勝点（そしてレッドカード）までは、フランサのつかんだチャンスが最大のチャンスだった。行く手を遮るＤＦもなく、ゴールへと走ったフランサだったが、プレーに時間がかかり過ぎ、シュートを放ったときにはＤＦに囲まれてしまっていた。またシュートも弱かった。
９人となったエスパルスに、ＦＣ東京は勝利を実感したが、ホームチームのＤＦ陣は固く、カウンターで相手の背後を狙う高原らのイメージ通りの攻撃がとうとう実を結ぶ。ゴドビ監督をはじめ、ベンチ中が乱舞したこの決勝点で、エスパルスは勝ち点３を積み上げた！

REPORT – セレッソ大阪３-２ジュビロ磐田　4月28日

３点目をキム・ボギョンが叩き込んだ後半38分の時点で、セレッソの勝利を疑う者はいなかっただろう！清武の先制点、後半２分の扇原の追加点と、セレッソの航海は順風満帆・・・だったが、タイタニックと同様、行く手には災害が待ち受けていた！セレッソ沈没までには至らなかったが、試合終了間際、ジュビロの反撃は突然に襲ってきた！後半42分には山田大記、ロスタイムにはチョ・ビングクのゴールと、ジュビロ反撃ののろしも時がすでに遅過ぎた。好不調の波が激しいセレッソの試合は、ファンにとってはハラハラドキドキの連続だ。だが、勝ち点３をきちんと結果として積み上げるあたりは、さすがセレッソ！

Vissel Kobe – FW Okubo out for at least six more weeks. MF Haneda out for a month. DF Komoto is back in training.

Vissel Kobe’s (P8 W3 D0 L5 GD -6) win against Kashiwa Reysol two matches back saved coach Wada’s job, temporarily, but the loss to Yokohama F. Marinos last week was the straw that broke the camel’s back and coach Wada was released, with Adachi taking over temporarily while Vissel iron out details with ex-Gamba coach Akira Nishino, if press reports are to be believed. The “new coach syndrome” always helps and Omiya Ardija (P8 W# D2 L3 GD -3) have been inconsistent, even though they have amassed some decent players for this season, especially Cho and Shimohira making a difference to the left side of the team.

It will be interesting to see which players Adachi goes for for Vissel or if a manager is already influencing him behind the scenes before he officially takes over. Whatever happens Vissel will have the home crowd, the adrenalin of a coaching change, EXPECT a WIN for VISSEL KOBE!

Five wins for Omiya, four wins for Kobe and four draws over the years, all in J1.

Consadole Sapporo v. Cerezo Osaka – Even Inconsistent Cerezo won’t Fail against Bottom Club!

Cerezo Osaka – DF Takahashi out for at least two more weeks.

Cerezo Osaka (P8 W4 D1 L3 GD +3) showed their good side for most of the game last week going 3-0 up against Jubilo Iwata before it ended 3-2. They are the most inconsistent team ever, it seems but surely they can’t fail against a Consadole Sapporo (P8 W0 D1 L7 GD -9) who have lost seven straight games since their opening day draw.

The youngsters of Cerezo Osaka, led by Kiyotake and Kim still need guidance – hence the inconsistency and, if both of those players move to Europe in the summer transfer window, as has been posited by various parts of the press, Cerezo wil have to rebuild again – somethign they are getting used to after losing Kagawa, Inui and Ienaga in recent times. But that’s the future, for today EXPECT a WIN for CEREZO OSAKA!

Consadole have four wins to Cerezo’s three wins in seven J2 meetings. There have been no draws between these two teams and this will be their first ever meeting in J1.

大宮アルディージャ２-１コンサドーレ札幌 – 4月28日

大宮は、カルリーニョスのヘッドで早々に先取点を奪うが、札幌も、前半終了直前に高木純平のゴールで同点に追いつく。その後、ジェイド・ノースのヘッドでコンサドーレが勝ち越し点を奪ったかに思われたが、残念なことに、日本ではまだゴールライン・テクノロジーが採用されていない。ゴールライン上のホールの位置をめぐる判定は、審判の裁定に委ねられている。この場面も、スローのリプレイを見ようものなら、判定ミスが露見してしまうこともあり得るのだ！！！大宮の決勝点を決めたのは青木だった。坪内からの折り返しに右足を豪快に振り抜き、ボールはゴール左隅へ。これで大宮は実力通り(？)、勝ち点を11に積み上げた。

横浜Ｆマリノス３-１ヴィッセル神戸 – 4月28日

ヴィッセル大屋翼のＪリーグ初ゴール（後12分）による先制点を追いかけるマリノスは、立て続けの３得点で試合をひっくり返し、待望の初勝利を飾った。大久保を欠く神戸はハーフタイム直前、田代も負傷で失う。わずか７分間で奪ったマリノスの３得点は、いずれも相手ＤＦの緩慢さを突いたものだった。横浜の１点目は、ＤＦ奥井がクリアしようとした矢先に飛び込んだ小野裕二のダイビングヘッド。２点目は谷口。競り合うＤＦのいない、フリーのヘディングシュートだった。ダメ押しの３点目は、ＦＫから中沢。ヴィッセルＧＫがゴールラインを割ると判断したボールに、ポストを恐れず果敢に飛び込んだシュートだった！
監督交代を考慮していた両チームだったが、この試合で、ヴィッセルの和田監督の解任はほぼ決まったといえるだろう。後任には西野朗氏が浮上している。一方のマリノスは、この試合の結果を受けて、おそらくは監督交代問題は保留状態とし、次の１、２試合の様子を見るのではないだろうか。

鹿島アントラーズ５-０ガンバ大阪 4月28日

順位表の低位置でもがく両チームの戦いは、ガンバ大阪の「降参ムード」が強く漂うゲームとなった。開幕からの悲惨なまでの戦いぶりに復調の兆しを垣間見たかのような両チームだったが、意外にもホーム鹿島の圧勝に終わった。遠藤（前半終了直前、ペナルティエリア外からの左足シュート）、興梠、大迫（相手の隙に乗じた１点、ＧＫ藤ヶ谷の手痛いミスをついた１点）、本山のゴールは、得失点差を＋１に跳ね上げ、チーム復調の自信を深めるものになった。ガンバ大阪の完敗。

Cerezo Osaka 3-2 Jubilo Iwata – April 28th

When Kim Bo Kyung blasted the 3rd Cerezo goal home in the 83rd minute, Cerezo must have thought they had this game in the bag! Kiyotake had opened the scoring, and Ogihara scored the second goal just after the break and Cerezo were cruising…. so was the Titanic! Well, it wasn’t a complete disaster in the end, but Jubilo pulled a couple of goals back in the remaining minutes, through Hiroki Yamada with a splendid effort in the 87th before Cho added another in added time, but the comeback proved too late and the wildly inconsistent Cerezo showed both sides today, but came out of it with the three points! It’s never a dull moment being a Cerezo fan.
