Alex Ferguson is pretty happy with his new Japanese signing so far, it seems…. according to various sources on the web today:
“One of the features of our game is that counter-attack is important,” Ferguson said. “Kagawa will add to it. His awareness of receiving the ball and his speed of turning defenders is going to be an asset for us”.
About the Manchester United victory over Shanghai ….
“Kagawa was involved in most of the possession tonight. He was Man of the Match and deserved it. He took his goal well … and has settled in well and is going to be a very good player for us. We had plenty of possession and Kagawa was involved in most of that”.
Kagawa played the whole game against Shanghai and looked, by far, the brightest spark of an, admittedly, experimental United team.
Ferguson again: “Kagawa has settled in well. He’s going to be a really good player and he impressed tonight, his awareness of receiving the ball, his speed in turning and how he attacks defenders is an asset to us.”
