Sanfrecce lined up in 3-2-4-1 line-up and were soon ahead from an unlikely source – a 63 yard effort from Toshio Aoyama, who spotted Iikura off his line and blasted it from way inside his own half! Ishihara was denied from making it 2-0 before a Yuji Oo cross, in the 38th minute, found old man Marquinos heading home at the far post for the equalizer. Oguro – this is how it’s done!
Hisato Sato got the better of centre back Nakazawa mid-way through the 2nd half but his shot on the turn flew across the goal and it was Marinos who got the go-ahead goal in the 77th minute as Sanfrecce keeper (did a “Fujigaya” and ) mishandled a tame Oguro header and Saito made the loose ball count. And it was soon 3-1 as Tomisawa headed home a Nakamura corner with aplomb, and Marinos were making it four wins in a row!
