Gamba in for Miyayoshi! And hovering over Cerezo's Yamaguchi!

Rumours abound that Gamba Osaka are finally taking my advice of more than two years ago and making an offer for Takafumi Miyayoshi of Kyoto Sanga FC. What a player he is going to be! Good luck prising him away from Kyoto, though. He, along with Kubo, Ito et al, is needed as the future of Kyoto, to bring that team out of the doldrums. That and dumping overpaid, under-achieving foreigners like Diego and Dutra!Meanwhile, Gamba also looking for that long-term Endo replacement in Shu Kurata and Shinishi Terada (both returned from loan periods away from Osaka) and having a good look at Cerezo’s Hotaru YAMAGUCHI!, we hear! A year of building a new team for Wagner Lopes to take over in 2013? A new ground also ready that season? A new beginning for Gamba Osaka is on the horizon!

Superb Overhead Goal from Tsuneyasu Miyamoto

As he is featured on the cover and inside Issue 3 of JSoccer Magazine, I thought I’d better dig out the video for this superb goal by Tsune! Enjoy this, then order your Issue 3 of the magazine for some exclusive pictures over 15 years in the game. The best goal Tsuneyasu Miyamoto scored in his long and fabled career was caught live on camera by a Vissel Kobe fan behind the goal…. here it is.
