Vissel shock their neighbours in Kansai Derby
Ken at Rising Sun News hits the nail on the head!
Rising Sun News I hope Ken allows me to leave this on here as it is a wonderful piece of work – it really does sum up the problems with (most) Asian football teams AND one of the main problems holding back Japan – enjoy (and thanks again to Ken).
Plus ca change…..
Just to let you know that nothing’s changed – either in my view that too many foreigners (especially strikers) are taking the place of Japanese players, or that those strikers are getting all the goals (hence depriving the national team of chances to blood new forwards!)…. the top scorers after ten games in the J.League Div.1….PEDRO JUNIOR Albirex Niigata 7GILSINHO Jubilo Iwata 7DAVI Nagoya Grampus 7 LEANDRO Gamba Osaka 7LEE Keun Ho Jubilo Iwata 6CHO Jae Jin Gamba Osaka 6 Um, spot the Japanese! No change there!
Gamba take it easy in IndonEASYa!
Sriwajaya FC 0-3 Gamba Osaka
Vissel Kobe 3-2 Oita Trinita
Vissel bounce back from thrashing!
Omiya Ardija 3-2 Gamba Osaka
It’s a funny old game…. Gamba had what seemed like 80% possession, about 30 shots on goal, while Omiya got a couple of breakaways, took advantage of a couple of mistakes and came away with three goals and three points!
Yokohama F Marinos 5-0 Vissel Kobe
The view from behind Crimson-coloured specs, for sure, but still worrying what an early bad decision by referee can do to a game!
Five games gone and new faces at the top, well near the top!
Montedio and Albirex have had pleasantly good starts, although with their win today Kashima are the team on top! not looking good for Jubilo or JEF so far, while Vissel don’t have much to cheer about, either!
Gamba Osaka 5 – 0 Sriwijaya FC
Gamba efficiently dispatched the Indonesian opposition in their 3rd ACL game on Wednesday…
