BioFor a period of nearly a decade, Hisashi Kurosaki was one of the "grand old men" of the J.League. He was already nearing the peak of his career when the League was formed, and had several outstanding seasons at Kashima Antlers before he began to decline in skill and fitness. Even after age began to slow him down, his excellent skills as a goal poacher allowed him to linger on, at J2 clubs, until after the league had celebrated its ten-year anniversary. Although his scoring touch seemed to drop off around 2000, Kurosaki demonstrated a renewed vigour after moving to J2 club Ablirex Niigata, and continued for three more years to provide a dangerous presence in front of net. Sadly, in his final season, with Omiya Ardija, he narrowly failed to reach the century mark in goals scored for his impressive J.League career, ending with 306 league appearances and 99 goals. However, if JSL performances are included, his career tally was over 400 league appearances and 130 goals, making him one of the most prolific strikers in Japanese football history
