Tsuneyasu Miyamoto
JSoccer Magazine Christmas Cruise and Talk Show.

JSoccer Magazine was proud to host a Christmas Dinner Cruise, including a Talk Show with Tsuneyasu Miyamoto, in Kobe, on December 10th. The night kicked off at 7 pm with the Luminous Kobe II cruise ship pulling away from the dock and editor and publisher of the magazine, Alan Gibson welcoming the assembled guests. Because of the tight schedule - a two hour cruise around Kobe and surrounding areas - the events came thick and fast, with five signed Miyamoto books, "Walk On", being some of the first door prizes out of the box.
There were more prizes from Asics, Dome (Under Armour), Estate Wines, Mr. Matsuaki, Hyatt Regency Osaka, and Manyou Club.
When Tsune walked on to the stage at 8 pm the crowd roared their approval and the show began. Tsune discussed his early years, when he was already starring for Gamba and Japan youth teams, while still at school. Then Doshisha University while playing for the full Gamba and Japan teams. The 2000 Sydney Olympics, 2002 World Cup, 2006 World Cup were talked about. Red Bull Salzburg and the challenge of Europe came next and Phillippe Troussier and Dragan Stoijkvic got looked at. All in all, a great time was had by all - Tsune is a master on the microphone!
At the end of the Talk Show, Tsune surprised us all by pulling out a pair of his own Adidas Predator boots, signing them and giving them away with a number out of the box! The final, first prize of a trip to Okinawa sponsored by Jet Holidays and JSoccer Magazine went to Ippei Iwasaki, who'd come down all the way from Tokyo.
As the attendees left, they were all present with a "goodie bag" that contained a hand-signed clear file from Tsune, a Nike towel, issues 1 AND 2 of JSoccer Magazine, a 50% discount voucher for a session at Manyou Club and more!
Thank you, Tsune, for a great night!
